about usguess
U.S. geography games built from facts, not borrowed media.
USGuess is a focused set of American geography guessing games. The site uses self-drawn map views, representative coordinates, and manually reviewed public facts for cities, airports, parks, counties, stadiums, metro areas, area codes, and ZIP-style learning points.
What the site is for
USGuess is designed for quick practice, replayable quizzes, and study reference pages around U.S. place knowledge. The games emphasize map reading, public data inference, and structured clues rather than photo recognition.
How we keep the content clean
- Maps: USGuess uses self-drawn SVG map presentations and representative points, not copied map screenshots, street-view images, satellite tiles, or third-party map artwork.
- Facts: records are curated from public references such as Census, FAA, NPS, NANPA, and official venue/team reference pages where relevant.
- Brands: names such as airport, league, team, venue, agency, and place names are used only for identification and factual quiz context.
- Sports references: NFL, MLB, team, and stadium names appear only as factual venue references. USGuess does not use league logos, team logos, jerseys, broadcast images, official venue photos, seating maps, or copied artwork.
- Coverage: some modes intentionally stay lower-48/DC until Alaska, Hawaii, and territory insets are designed and reviewed.
